This is a rare and valuable two tone, black and laminated butterscotch carved bakelite bangle bracelet.
The process consists of casting a black tube upon which the colored butterscotch bakelite is laminated over the black bakelite bangle bracelet. Hence, the name
double
casting. Then the tube was cut into the bracelet and the design was carved on it. Fascinating process.
It weighs 22 grams
It has been tested with semichrome polish.
