Vintage Bakelite Polka Dot Bangle Bracelet and Carved Red Bakelite Bangle.
These two bracelets have been tested with Simichrome polish. The RED carved bracelet tested positive immediately. The green dots on the polka dot bracelet also tested positive, but as with many BLACK Bakelite pieces, I could not get a positive reaction on the black portion (see photos). So, I am presuming the entire bracelet is made of Bakelite. Vintage Bakelite pieces were not combined with other forms of plastic. Both bracelets appear to be laquered, judging from their reflective properties. There is no damage to either bracelet.
Both openings measure 2.5”.
