Vintage 1" Purple to Black Bakelite Bracelet! Elliptical Open Work Carvings!

Description

This beautiful Bakelite bracelet is 1" wide and weighs 28 grams. It has the normal inside diameter of 2.5" The bracelet was originally a purple/eggplant color, but over the years its patina has darkened to its current black color. If you look at the pictures taken with a flash (photos #5 & 7) you can see the original purple color. However, under normal light, the bracelet looks black.
The bracelet has been decorated two rows of elliptical shaped open work carvings where the sides of the carvings have been beveled just a bit. Woven between the open work carvings are long curved slash carvings. It appears flowers and vines were the inspiration for the lovely Art Deco abstract design,
This Vintage Bakelite bracelet is in excellent condition and its authenticity was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were noted. There is one tiny flea bite to the inside edge of the bracelet that is shown in photo #7.
