Hand Painted Bakelite Bangle with Flowers - ca. 1950s

Cheery, bright and just begging for summer is this sweet floral-painted Bakelite bangle. I'm guessing it dates to the 1950s, like similarly painted bangles made by Marblette, although it could be a little older. The color is a corn yellow, lighter than butterscotch. It has two large pink painted flowers, accented with green stems. Gently domed, the bangle measures just under 1" wide with 1/8" walls and a standard 2 1/2" opening.
The condition of the Bakelite is excellent, with minor surface wear. The painted flowers show a small amount of paint loss, most visible on the green stems. The color is slightly dusky due to age and there are lighter spots on the inside of the bangle where I tested it. Unfortunately you can't give it a good cleaning without damaging the paint.
The Bakelite tests positive with Simichrome.
