Guaranteed to be Original Bakelite Bangle in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks. Very Nice tested authentic bakelite bangle.
Bakelite is a castable, fire-resistant plastic that was invented by Leo Baekeland in 1909. This bangle is yellow and features deep carved stylized flowers. It also has a nice patina. It was tested for authenticity using the formula 409 cleaner test. A cotton swab was dipped into formula 409 and then rubbed on the inside of the bangle. Built up patina rubbed off onto the swab and showed up as a yellow stain.
